Southeast Regional College improves IT control through new service strategy
Their Problem
The College was having trouble with its IT service availability. In many cases, the College did not know the state its systems were in and did not feel in control. The College's service provider would not supply adequate information about the College's IT environment so that it could properly assess risks.
Our Solution
The College chose Lexcom for the completeness of the service offering. Lexcom provided operational policies and processes to properly manage the environment. In addition, Lexcom employed a structured process to migrate the environment from a Novell system to a Microsoft infrastructure, providing complete access to all systems documentation, configuration information and architecture documents that other providers would not share. Lexcom supported the environment completely, allowing the College to focus on using IT strategically to improve its services.
