North West Regional College chooses Lexcom for service continuity
North West Regional College offers a wide variety of educational programs, including university classes, technical training, academic upgrading and professional development.
Their Problem
The College identified that they needed to make improvements to their information technology systems in order to improve service availability, integrate the North Battleford and Meadow Lake campuses and protect them in the event of a disaster.
Our Solution
We first engaged the College in an assessment to identify the key areas of risk to the college and recovery objectives. We implemented VMware Virtual Infrastructure with NetApp storage units in each location, then enabled cross-site replication between campuses. By doing this, North West Regional College created the ability to recover all services from either campus within hours of a declared disaster.
